Life drawing - last day of February!!

Life drawing tonight. The model was awesome, and there was an amazing vibe in class, and very relaxing. I always enjoy it though.

One of the things I love about going to life drawing is the people there. They're a really supportive and generous group of artists, a couple of them keep lending me books. I find I learn a lot from seeing what they do and observing - it's definitely true about how important your environment is, change your environment, change your life. #livingadvice #humanresources #looktheyrejustcoolpeople

Today's art work - Friday 22nd February 2013

I did a lot of art today, including life drawing tonight. Life drawing was at CDW studios tonight. I was working on a easel today, so standing up, and just working big. It took ages to get into it tonight,but it helped when I changed from Charcoal sticks to conte pencils, and when the music changed to the spirited away soundtrack. The life drawings are 15min poses.

I'm trying not to use photos as reference so much anymore, as I've been so dependent on it. But it's still fun. Once I started colouring, time just went... Pencils on paper, which at the moment is quicker then photoshop. Anne Hathaway's portrait in the book Icons.

Life drawing Thursday 21st Feb 2013...

Life drawing tonight, Thursday, 21st February 2013... The coloureds are 30 mins each and the others are between 5 and 10mins each. Feel like I'm on to something with the colours...

Went to Life drawing again tonight, and thought I was pretty lucky to get another night of drawing awesome muscles. I loved it, felt like it was over in 5mins because I was having so much fun, and if you look around you, you will be inspired. (Yes there are some doubly craaaazy -good Artist's there, but that can't be helped because this place attracts them)... This was a CDW studios by the way - http://conceptdesignworkshop.com
